Close a loved one's accounts

After a death, the bot finds the person's memberships and subscriptions and cancels them.

Starting prompt (adapted)

Help me close my late [relationship]'s memberships and subscriptions. Search the email and statements I give you access to, list every recurring charge and membership, and wait for my approval before cancelling. For each cancellation, note whether the provider asks for a death certificate or proof that I can act for the estate, and hand those steps back to me. Never share their full SSN or account numbers; ask me instead. Save each provider's confirmation and give me a list of what is closed and what is still open.

Written for this site from what the cases below did. It is a starting point, not a prompt anyone posted. Fill in the parts in brackets.

What you still do

  • Approve the list before anything is cancelled
  • Provide documents a provider asks for, such as a death certificate

Where it tends to fail

  • Only a text claim, with no detail on what each provider required
  • Some providers need proof of authority, which the bot can't supply

How well it's backed up

So far this is a single text-only post, with no amounts and no detail on what each provider required.

The provider agreed or the change is reported done. Biggest saving first. Each case says what backs it.
