Cancel insurance you no longer need

The bot finds the policy in your email, contacts the insurer, and works through its online portal to stop coverage you no longer need, such as insurance on a car you sold.

Starting prompt (adapted)

I no longer need this insurance policy [say why, for example the car was sold]. Find the policy in my email, check the cancellation terms and the date of the next payment, and show me the terms, any cancellation fee, and the refund I should expect. Once I approve, request cancellation by email or through the insurer's portal before that date. If the login fails or asks for an identity check, stop and hand it back to me so I can sign in. Do not agree to any fee or new product without asking me. Save the insurer's written confirmation and tell me what they confirmed, such as the end date and any refund, versus what you expect.

Written for this site from what the cases below did. It is a starting point, not a prompt anyone posted. Fill in the parts in brackets.

What you still do

  • Sign in yourself when the portal login glitches
  • Check the cancellation goes through before the next debit

Where it tends to fail

  • Portal logins and password resets can stall the bot
  • The cancellation can stay pending after the request
  • The post's image is a cartoon, so the claim is text only

How well it's backed up

So far this is a single text-only claim, and the cancellation was still pending when posted.

Text only: 1.
